Marriage is a good thing, but those who are single are encouraged to maintain purity until the right time comes. Marriage is a lifelong commitment that requires careful consideration and readiness. Seeking God’s guidance in choosing a life partner is crucial for a successful marriage. Our text emphasizes that marriage is the proper context for sexual intimacy and that, if you are married, you should honor the commitment you made. For those who are unmarried, Paul advises that it is better to remain single unless the desire for marriage is strong. Ultimately, we should seek God’s wisdom in both the timing and the choice of a life partner. If you are single, Trust in God’s timing and remain pure in heart and body. If you are married, uphold the sanctity of your marriage by staying committed to your spouse.
