When we go through trials, it’s easy to look to other sources of help, whether it’s people, self-effort, or worldly solutions. However, Psalm 121:1-2 reminds us that our ultimate source of help is God alone. The psalmist acknowledges the mountains as a natural source of security but directs his trust solely to God, the Creator. This is a powerful reminder that our help comes from the One who created everything and has power over all circumstances. We are to look to God, the One who is always present, never slumbering or sleeping, to help us in our time of need. In your current trial, are you seeking God’s help or relying on other sources for strength? Commit yourself to depend on God, knowing He is your constant help.
Reflection
Seeking God’s help in times of trial is essential to our strength.
Prayer
Suggestion for Prayer: Ask God to help you focus on Him as your source of help.
