God’s design for intimacy within marriage is a beautiful and sacred part of the covenant relationship. The pleasures of sex outside of marriage, however, lead to destruction. Paul in our text, addresses the importance of mutual submission in marriage, particularly concerning sexual intimacy. Both partners are responsible for meeting each other’s needs, ensuring the relationship is fulfilling. It is not just about avoiding sin, but about actively nurturing the bond through shared affection. If you are married, make an effort to understand and meet your spouse’s needs, both emotionally and sexually, within the boundaries of marriage. If you are unmarried, seek to honor God with your body and wait for the commitment of marriage before seeking sexual intimacy.
