May be you have asked why there is too much stealing and stinginess in the world. It can only be linked to refusal to work. Paul calls the thief to no longer steal but to do honest work so that they can share with needy. The first part of the passage is addressed to people who steal, scam, cheat, take bribes, etc, they must stop. The second part of the verse is a general principle that applies to everyone who has experienced new life in Christ Jesus. Their lives should be marked by generosity toward the needy. Look for work to do and be ready to use the resources God has blessed you with to bless others. Begin with your immediate family members, local church and the community in which you live.
Reflection
Ideal hands have nothing to share with others.
Prayer
Suggestion for prayer. Pray that God will help you work diligently and be willing to share. Pray for the CBC: Trust God for a successful harvest thanksgiving season in all CBC churches.
