Unforgiveness is like a spiritual poison that contaminates our hearts and relationships. Holding onto anger, bitterness, or resentment blocks us from experiencing God’s peace and healing.

In this passage, Jesus emphasizes the importance of forgiveness in our relationship with God. If we harbor unforgiveness in our hearts, it creates a barrier between God and us. When we forgive, we release both the offender and ourselves from the bondage of resentment. This act of forgiveness opens the door for God's grace to flow freely into our lives, bringing healing to both our hearts and our relationships.

Often, we believe that forgiveness is for the benefit of the one who wronged us. However, forgiveness is also for our benefit. When we refuse to forgive, we carry the weight of hurt, which affects our emotional and spiritual well-being. Choosing to forgive frees us from that burden, allowing us to experience peace and healing. Let go of grudges, release the pain, and make space for God’s healing presence.
