One of the greatest promises in the Bible is that God’s grace is sufficient for us, especially in our weakest moments. In our text, Paul shares how God’s grace enabled him to endure a persistent struggle. Paul’s “thorn in the flesh” was a trial that he could not overcome on his own. God did not remove the thorn, but instead, He gave Paul the grace to endure it. In doing so, Paul learned that weakness is not something to be ashamed of but a space where God’s strength is displayed. Are you struggling with weakness or affliction that you feel you cannot bear? God’s grace is sufficient for you. Instead of trying to overcome it in your own strength, surrender to God and rely on His grace to carry you through.
Reflection
God’s grace is sufficient to carry us through our weaknesses.
Prayer
