After forgiving and reconciling us to Himself God made us His ministry partners in the mission of reconciliation. He gave us that ministry which is to cause others to see their broken communion and get back to Him through the finish work of Jesus Christ. When God reconciled man to Himself, He put in him the message of reconciliation. This means that to be a channel of reconciliation, it to be reconciled to God by His power in the Lord Jesus Christ, then He automatically puts in you the message. All Christians have to be messengers and representatives of reconciliation because they have been duly appointed in Christ.
Reflection
We are reminded that God’s forgiveness isn’t just for our benefit—it comes with a purpose. After reconciling us to Himself through Jesus, He invites us to partner with Him in helping others experience that same restoration. Being reconciled to God naturally equips us to share His message of reconciliation, showing others how to return to Him. Every Christian, therefore, carries this calling: to be a messenger of God’s love and restoration, representing His grace to a world in need.
Prayer
Ask God to help you be a true messenger of reconciliation.
