It’s easy to become anxious and upset when we see injustice around us. But God calls us to trust in His timing and control, allowing Him to deal with those who wrong us. By forgiving and leaving vengeance to God, we experience peace and freedom. In Psalm 37, David encourages believers not to worry about the prosperity of the wicked. Instead, we are to trust God, do good, and delight in Him. God will take care of justice in His time. Forgiveness allows us to surrender our desire for revenge and trust that God will handle the situation according to His perfect plan. Are you holding onto anger or resentment against someone who has wronged you? Ask yourself how trusting in God’s justice can help you release your desire for revenge. Choose to forgive and surrender your concerns to God.
Reflection
Forgiveness frees us from the burden of revenge and allows God to work in His time.
Prayer
Lord, I trust in Your justice and timing. Help me to release my desire for revenge and to forgive those who have hurt me.
