Content
There are certain lessons in life that can only be learned in the furnace of affliction. Psalms 119:71 reminds us that sometimes, it is the trials and struggles that draw us closer to understanding God’s ways. The psalmist here reflects on the beneficial nature of trials. He acknowledges that through suffering, God teaches us wisdom and spiritual growth. While we may initially resist hardships, the psalmist reveals that these struggles serve to refine our character, sharpen our understanding, and strengthen our faith. While we may seek to avoid suffering, it can serve as an opportunity for spiritual growth. Instead of focusing solely on the pain, let’s seek to learn from God in those moments.
Reflection
Difficult times can teach us important lessons that we cannot learn in times of ease.
Prayer
Suggestion for Prayer: Ask God to help you trust Him more deeply in difficult times and to open your heart to the lessons He wants to teach you. Pray for the CBC: Thank God for all CBC Schools.
